About me

Dr. Ranjeeta Ambett is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and an Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeon based in Victoria, Australia, with subspecialty expertise in otology, hearing rehabilitation, and paediatric ENT.

Dr Ambett is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and an Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeon based in Victoria, Australia, with subspecialty expertise in otology, hearing rehabilitation, and paediatric ENT.

She completed her advanced training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery with honours at Christian Medical College, Vellore, where she was awarded top postgraduate trainee and recognised for the best postgraduate thesis in the nation. She subsequently undertook advanced fellowship training in Otology and Neurotology in Perth, Western Australia, and further developed her expertise in middle ear surgery and hearing implant technologies through additional training in Switzerland and Germany.

Dr Ambett has published more than 20 scientific papers, received the prestigious Oticon Foundation award for research, and participated in national and international multicentre clinical trials. She has also contributed to global hearing health initiatives through consulting work with the World Health Organization and by supporting the development of hearing and otology services in underserved communities.

Her practice encompasses a broad range of adult and paediatric ENT conditions, with particular interests in ear and hearing disorders, hearing rehabilitation, paediatric ENT, and minimally invasive approaches to nasal, sinus, and snoring disorders.

I provide services that encompasses a broad range of adult and paediatric ENT conditions, with particular expertise in otology (ear surgery), hearing rehabilitation, chronic ear disease, hearing implants, paediatric ENT, and minimally invasive approaches to nasal, sinus, and snoring disorders.

I have a longstanding commitment to improving access to hearing healthcare globally and have contributed to international hearing initiatives through consulting work with the World Health Organization in Geneva and supporting the establishment of otology and hearing implant services in underserved communities across the Middle East and the Americas.

I believe in delivering evidence-based, individualised care for both adult and paediatric patients, combining surgical excellence with a strong focus on communication, trust, and long-term outcomes.

I see both public and private patients for consultations. Privately I'm accredited to operate at a number of hospitals including Ramsay Health and Holmesglen Private Hospital.
